Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us when you use the Homeschooler app.

Last updated May 3, 2026

Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Homeschooler iOS app ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The app is operated by Wade Bruce (Brucelabs), referred to here as "we" or "us".

Account and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. Homeschooler is intended for parents and legal guardians who manage homeschooling for the children in their household. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.

Pricing

Homeschooler is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, we'll update these terms first and clearly disclose any pricing in the app before you opt in.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Your content

The information you enter in the app — including children's names, subjects, time entries, and notes — is yours. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely so we can provide the app's features to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Intellectual property

The app itself, its design, code, graphics, and the Homeschooler name, are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's standard App Store license.

Disclaimers

Homeschooler is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet specific homeschool reporting requirements in your state. The app is a tracking tool, not legal or educational advice. You are responsible for confirming what your state requires and for the accuracy of the information you enter.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to $50 USD.

Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the app. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Homeschooler after a change means you accept the updated terms.
